Organize Your Supporters And Get Ready To Win

Before you start,  see if you can enlist some loyal supporters to cheer you on in this challenge.  Family is best, but you may be able to obtain help from your friends.  Try to find one person who you can talk too, and who has a real interest in seeing you succeed.  You may even find one of your friends who is interested in joining you in this challenge.  It is much more helpful to have people who can encourage you and challenge you when you feel weak. You Need Support To Quit Smokeing

Get outside and do things with your support group, anything to keep active and not focused on your addiction.  Supporters who are willing to take time to help you are a great help.

If one of your friends is willing to undertake the challenge of quitting, that is even better.  You can encourage each other to succeed.

Whatever you do, don't associate with people who are critical of your efforts, stick with your supporters.

Let Your Support Group Help You Quit Smoking

The support of our family and friends is important in all that we do.  Loyal supporters are important throughout your life, and your support is also important to your friends and family.  Work hard to stay positive and don't let this challenge get you down.  Be ready to help any of your supporters who may need your help during this time.  Don't allow yourself to become too focused on your own problems to help a friend in need.

Being deeply involved with your support group will help take your mind off smoking. As we have mentioned in other sections of this site, the real battle in quitting cigarettes or tobacco is in your mind. It only takes 3 days to get the nicotine out of your system, the real task is in defeating the habit. So a big part of your task is mental, and your group can help you here.

You can help yourself byfinding new interests and skills. Try to pick things to do that don't increase your stress. It will be real helpful if you can findsomething new to do that is really relaxing, or entertaining. This activity will be especially useful if it is something that will help you interact with your group.
